On behalf of Sphere 17’s Young Communicators Committee (YCC’s), we would like to cordially invite you to the launch of the very first public access AED in Dublin 17, which will be available to the community 24/7 in the event of a medical emergency.
The YCC’s have fundraised in order to be able to supply the community with this life saving piece of equipment. We also recently received a kind donation from the family of Wayne Hegarty and the donation from his memorial football tournament helped us reach our fundraising target.
The equipment will be located and accessible from an external cabinet at The Priorswood Inn pub and as such the launch will take place at the same location on:
-
Wednesday 13th November at 3pm at the Priorswood Inn, Clonshaugh Avenue, D17XV48
As we know, having access to a defibrillator in a timely manner plays a very important role in the chain of survival. This is also the first publicly accessible device within the area of Dublin 17 and the accessibility factor was particularly important to the young people.
The YCC’s have put a lot of work into this action project and we hope that as many people as possible can come along to show their support on this monumental day for the community!
Look forward to seeing you there
It takes a community to save a life!
